Richard Hollis is the founder of GEM, a Christ-centered mission focused on spreading the gospel to the hearts of the lost, forgotten, and rejected. GEM is based in Houston, TX.
As an ordained minister and evangelist Richard has a heart for ALL people and seeks to meet everyone where they are with the compassion and love of CHRIST.
Evangelist Richard is currently studying online for a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Liberty University. He is a bold leader and passionate communicator deeply dedicated to loving, empowering people, and spreading the Gospel through his music, this ministry, and various faith-based content, locally and abroad.
Richard is a Texas native and resides in Houston with his wife, Gladys, and their two children.
Jeremiah 30:17
For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’
I know all too well the feeling of loneliness and abandonment. I've spent many restless nights not being able to figure out why I could not fall asleep. Years of running from my calling, working against my purpose, and being in direct defiance of God's will left me broken spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. It also began to take a toll on my family and close relationships.
One night while at the computer googling the word restoration this scripture leaped out at me from inside the monitor and as I explained to my wife weeping, it felt as if the word of God reached into my chest and begin to minister to the inner parts of my heart and soul. Those feelings of loneliness, grief from the recent passing of my father, brokenness from unresolved hurts and losses were washed away as I sat in tears.
God spoke to those broken areas in my life. His word rushed in to fill and mend the crevices of my heart. He restored my faith and joy on that night. From here until the moment God calls His breath home from this vessel, I AM committed to seeking His face, striving to make sure He is well pleased with me, and proclaiming the precious name of Christ Jesus with the gospel.
For I have wasted many breaths speaking things that don't glorify Him. NO MORE!

GEM is in the drafting phase and we plan to officially launch in the first quarter of 2023. As you well know it takes resources to launch a new ministry and we are seeking seed money to do just that. Your contribution will go towards set-up and administrative costs to obtain an LLC, design a website for the mission, open a bank account, and other materials.
