Why We Chose To Begin Married To Ministry?
Updated: May 24, 2022
Congratulations!!! You are one of the first of our friends to visit and see our inaugural post! Gladys and I have tossed back and forth over the last few months about launching this ministry so we finally leaped out on faith and began planning it out.
We pray that in this endeavor we help and encourage married couples to anchor their relationship to Christ and make Him the center of their focus. With Jesus at the core of your life and marriage there is nothing that come between you and your spouse.

Why Call It "Married To Ministry?
We chose to call it "Married To Ministry" because we believe that marriage is the second greatest union God gave man next to believing on and becoming one with Christ Jesus. The biblical definition of marriage is of a God-given, voluntary, sexual and public social union of one man and one woman, from different families, for the purpose of serving God. The biblical definition of ministry is to serve as a slave or servant. In the New Testament, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in His name. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it (see Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).
Brothers we’re commanded to love our wives the way Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Christ has an immeasurable, unconditional love for his church – a sacrificial and selfless love that never gives up. It’s our desire to live and love each other with that same grace. For example:
Honor your spouse and love him/her by Christ’s example
Practice grace with no buffer, UNCONDITIONALLY
Never loose hope, never give-up on one another
There is no PLAN B (no not the pill. WE DON'T SUPPORT THAT EITHER)
Fight like hell for one other
Remember your vows and live them out daily
(you vowed until death, right? Live and serve one another like it)
Blessings To What's Ahead
As couple we seek to honor God by making our marriage priority and serving one another as a service to Christ. Marriage is our first ministry and together as we care for and serve one another as husband and wife, we can better serve those who God allows us to come in contact with on a daily basis. We have covered a lot of ground in our 25+ years together (3 years dating, 22 years married)! Through this website, we will honestly share our lives, experiences and issues and trails in hopes that you can learn and grow with us.
May God bless and keep you.
